Had I know this at the time I would have bought the most up to date version. This camera is old stock, two revisions behind at the same price.
Have to buy a case too. No wonder it was cheap. Make sure you check to ensure you get a charger and battery. Bought at Christmas 2008 for a great price. Very disappointing.Have to try to use it on non-rechargeable batteries for Easter tomorrow. Rip off. Gave to aunt and other family member. Didn't come with rechargeable batteries or charger.
Batteries, you will spend a fortune on them.other than that, it is fine.
The camera is well built, but should have a viewing lens for outdoor use,as the display screen is hard to see outside in the glare and it sucks down the battery life very fast. And, their software is particularly difficult to remove (similar to Norton Utilities). If you choose to buy it, I strongly recommend not installing their software on your computer. Kodak makes a pretty good camera, but it's priced at least $100 more than an equally capable Sony or Canon, with the same or better features, although only Canon has one in pink.My real problem isn't with the camera, it's with their software. On a PC running Windows, the Kodak software is highly intrusive and it eventually clogs up the the computer with background routines that don't need to be running all the time.
Please just make products that work. After 1 week of use the screen had a huge 'blot' on it, we had to send it back BIG BUMMER.
